The reason very simply is that ever since fat tuesday/mardis gras/pancake day/day before lent, I have been a piglet. Since today is Easter I think I need to get back on the wagon.
Tomorrow of course.

It has been reported to me that folks at Stuart’s work noticed that I didn’t weigh in last week.

The reason is a bit TMI- so I apologise. . . I also didn’t post a month ago when this same thing happened. When it happens the numbers will be higher. . . It happens once a month so once a month I will probably skip that weeks weigh in (unless I like the numbers. Bite me if you find this arbitary.)

If you don’t know what I’m on about, I’m not going to spell it out for you.

Anyway I have no such excuse this week. This week the numbers are bad because I ate like complete and utter and complete pig last week.

162

What is really annoying is it said 157 a week and a half ago. . .

back on the wagon. . .

I’ve been wanting to learn how swing dance or jive for a million years. So as part of my 2007 ‘do things that I want to do, rather than say I always wanted to do that’ life plan thingy, tonight was my first dance class of a five-week beginner series done by Hula Boogie at my favourite London bar, South London Pacific near Oval.

Was soooo much fun. Felt a bit silly, but it will be a blast when we really start moving. Julie is really a fantastic teacher so if this is something you have wanted to do, get on the waiting list for their next class.

Hula Boogie hosts one Sunday a month at South London Pacific. . . next one is 18/2. I may need to drag some people out to drink fruity drinks with little umbrellas . . . Anyone wanna join me for a night of 1930’s- 50’s floor stompin’ music?

Went to yoga last night- A beginners course I am doing for the next eight weeks. Figured I would start at the very beginning since I haven’t done yoga for two years and even then I was a novice at it. Sure I went 2-3 times a week but that was only for 6 months.

We did a few of the basics as an introduction- the most challenging thing was the tree pose and warrior poses.

I am so sore today I feel like I have been battered with oranges wrapped in a towel.

It’s been- It’s been a really long fucking time since my last confession. Sorry. But it has. Maybe, 1991? 1990. Around then. It’s about when I stopped believing in the devil. You know how it is Father. If you’re Catholic and you don’t believe in the devil, the whole thing sort of goes to hell. . . no pun intended.

But yeah. 1990ish. To Father Jan. The most annoying Polish priest on the planet. In Newman Club he tried to defend the banning of books. I’m guessing it was the whole growing up in a Communist country, no personal freedom and expression thingy.

But yeah- so these are my sins. . .

There is no need to do a drum roll Father.

I had a cup of coffee.

Yeah, that’s it.

Seriously.

I can do math Father. I know it has been nearly 20 years since the last time I was in the hot seat. And you don’t need to say 20 years like that you know! I think I look pretty good for 36.

Why are you laughing?

Ok sure. There are a lot of things I could confess. But the thing is, I’m not really sorry. I mean, I have regrets, but that is different from being sorry. Well maybe that one guy. He was an enormous mistake and had very little to show for himself. . . if you get what I mean. Now that I think of it, there were a couple of those. Pretty big red bow packaging around a box of styrofoam pellets.

To be honest Father—I kinda wish I had gone a bit wild. Maybe got arrested or something.

I know I still could get arrested, but it just isn’t the same.

Yeah, the coffee. I had a cup of coffee. But I have to say, it really was necessary for life and it was for the good of everyone around me. And you know, I can stop anything I want.

Yep. That’s all I got. Thanks for listening.

Ten rosaries! Ten! For a cup of coffee? It’s not even Lent!
