It’s the third biggest country in South America and home to some amazing sights, not the least of which are the famed archeological sites in the Andes Mountains. We’ll travel to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and make our way to one of the most extraordinary ancient sites: Machu Picchu. And along the way, we’ll stop in the teeming capital city, Lima, and the former Mayan capital, Cusco. George Bauer’s Daughter Lisa joins him for a sojourn in Peru. Their travels take them to Lima and Cusco, and through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, site of the Incan fortress of Ollantaytambo. The journey culminates at the legendary lost city of Machu Picchu. Ok. Haven’t even watched the video but still had read all the comments: 1st of all I’m from the south from RS, the thing is even though I was born and raised here there are lots of problems with this state as well as with many other states. We are no WONDERLAND to be living in and I particularly find a little bit annoying this fight that other states pull over us southern ones. We all live in the same COUNTRY for crying out loud. Shouldn’t we be a little more proud of that? Think about it.

Os estados do sul são lindos, maravilhosos, mas têm seus problemas como qualquer outro do Brasil. A grande diferença é que sua população não sofreu com a concentração de riqueza e as consequentes atitudes que os ricos tomam para mantê-la, como mão de obra excedente, ausência de educação formal – para que não se exijam direitos – e manutenção de políticos desonestos calcados em costumes desonestos do próprio povo.
Não há coisa mais nojenta do que ler argumentos bairristas. Alguns são totalmente fundamentados na ignorância, na falta de leitura e compreensão histórica. Malditos professores de história! Não ensinaram seus alunos a refletirem no processo histórico! Por isso somos obrigados a ler comentários que beiram o racismo!

Cultura totalmente diferente ? Não há NENHUMA diferença cultural entre o norte paranaense e o interior paulista. Paraná era parte São Paulo, foi terra descoberta pelos bandeirantes, teve até cafeicultura tbm; e não só posso falar de cultura, a economia do paraná está muuuuito mais atrelada a São Paulo do que a SC ou RS.

olha me explica, santa catarina não seria o que você falou, o turismo é importante atividade, agricultura e mineiração de carvão também impulsionam a economia, fome não passaríamos junto com o Paraná e RS, e lembre que somos atualmente a região com melhores níveis de desenvolvimento do Brasil, lembrando que sou PR e assemelhar o paraná com são paulo é como assemelhar Polonia com Alemanha, tem muito em comum mas tem cultura totalmente diferente
Não, não mudo de atitude. Que gaúchos tenham orgulho do Rio Grande do Sul, é aceitável, mas Paraná é mais São Paulo que qualquer outra coisa (tal como MS), e Santa Catarina seria uma roça de Terceiro Mundo do nível de algum país da América Central ou do Paraguai sem o Brasil, independentismo dos mesmos é ingratidão, pretensão e nariz em pé, se achando só por morarem num lugar onde cai neve e foi colonizado por gringos (que se misturaram com índios, brasileiros e portugas do mesmo jeito).

Rio de Janeiro has Finnish and Swiss cities, Espírito Santo probably has villages of every Brazilian ethnicity. This silly cult of the ancestors has no reason, as there are European Brazilians throughout our coast and every region had a different development.
Best place in Latin America? Chileans and Uruguayans must be laughing of you now. I don’t doubt that Cuba still has a greater life quality than all regions of Brazil, including you guys. The only cities in the continent that dispute with Buenos Aires and Mexico City are obviously São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. And I’m not even a hater or am against every kind of nationalism, just saying.
Because it is irrelevant. There is European, Amerindian and African influence throughout Brazil, the degree of miscegenation is similar accross regions, and there were European immigrants to places other than the South, or places other than highland Santa Catarina. -.-

Be certain to carry Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo and the parts of Minas Gerais and Goiás that make frontier with it together with you (you have a deal of culture together), as in Rio de Janeiro we will also want to become a country and get Espírito Santo and Zona da Mata Mineira together with us.
If you go alone, your economy will suffer with the boycotts that will soon appear due to a strong Brazilian backlash, as people will feel you as nooty and unthankful. ^^
